For development purposes Canine MediaAuth is fully functional when running on http://localhost. For production environments a license is required. MediaAuth can either be licensed for a single domain (including all subdomains) or any agency license which can run on any domain.
Licenses can be purchased at https://canine.digital/umbraco-media-auth
Running MediaAuth on an un-licensed domain will result in 500 errors being returned when serving media items, with license exceptions recorded in Umbraco's logs

After purchase a license file will be supplied, named CanineMediaAuth.lic
This file should be placed in the following folder of your installation: '/umbraco/Licenses'

folder if it is not already present, note the capitalisation if you are running under a Linux based environment)
Note: it is also possible to put the license file in the /bin folder - although the Licenses folder is prefered as this is the standard location for licenses in Umbraco installations
Verify License Installation
You can verify the license information by looking at the MediaAuth dashboard under Settings in the Umbraco back office
